August 13, 2012: Screenwriters Wanted

Hello, everyone.

Here are some more writing gigs. Check them out.

********************************************

Hi there,

We're a couple of days later this time, because I was travelling back from Greece, where I've been teaching screenwriting for the last two weeks. (See a couple of photos on the blog.)

I'm still catching up, so this is a very short newsletter.  Normal service will be resumed this Friday, when I'll be mailing you a terrific in-depth interview with Robert Jones, writer of a new BBC show called 'Murder', (directed by 'The Killing's Birger Larson.)

Look out for that one!

In the meantime, here are TWO free job leads:

--------------
1) NMI - Seeking Writers for China Projects
---------------

We are looking for completed feature-length cross cultural scripts to option and writers who are interested in working with us to develop and produce a cross cultural feature film in mainland China and USA. We specifically need cross cultural stories featuring the intersection between two cultures.

Budget will be determined based on the project. WG and non-WG writers may submit.

NMI is currently producing in China, and has optioned several projects through InkTip.

2) Dan Garcia Productions - Seeking Faith Based Scripts
---------------

We are looking for completed feature-length faith-based scripts, i.e. material in the vein of "Fireproof." Submissions need be for contemporary material that will appeal to a broad Christian audience, so no period pieces or sectarian material, please.

Budget will not exceed $1 million. Only non-WGA writers should submit at this point in time.

Our credits include "The Great Divide" among others.
