SEEKING SCRIPT TO FLIP GENRE W/LEAVE-YOUR-SPECIES LOVE STORY 2013.1.4 17:36
We are hoping to produce 2-3 different zombie or supernatural creature love story films within the next 6 months.  Avatar flipped the Alien Genre by transforming aliens into hippy environmentalists living in a lush and pure, rainbow world.  Twilight flipped the Vampire Genre transforming vampires into high school attending dead creatures with skin that turns to glitter.  Both films were extremely popular due to many things including a strong, love story that was so passionate it caused a main character to leave the human species to be with the one they love.  We need an Epic Zombie script that flips the genre with an epic love story having room for sequels involving a human leaving all that they know to be with a Zombie (or other supernatural creature) that they love.  We are also open to other supernatural creatures as found here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_legendary_creatures that are in a script that flips the genre.  No common or overused themes/creatures (such as a ghost, werewolf, sasquatch, orc, elf, mermaid, etc.,).  IMDB + Credit + Pay. We prefer Non-WGA writers.  We ONLY welcome writers who are open to having their script greatly rewritten.  We are not interested in horror, comedy or crime films.  Please, please do not send any scripts that do not include a strong love story between characters.  We are interested in dramas, action-adventure, thriller, sci-fi, romantic comedy, animated and mock-umentary set in any time period.  We love (nice) screenwriters and welcome writers as an important part of our productions, but will not allow our production to be micro-managed in any way, manner or form. Please email a logline, 1-3 paragraph synopsis, any/all writing awards that you or your script have won as well as 4-6 paragraphs telling us about you and your views for a better world.  Send that to:  nnmproductions@yahoo.com  Make the email subject "SuperNaturalLoveStory" all as one word so our filter screens it as non-spam.  Please, No attachments.  Simply, place the synopsis and all information into the body of your email. Do not send us a script until we ask for it please as we will not read it before that time.  We encourage everyone to copyright their screenplays.  We will accept scripts from Jan 2013 through June 1st, 2013, on a first come, first prioritized/produced, basis.  Thanks.  Keep love first everyone

U.S. COLLABORATOR FOR COMEDY SCREENPLAY 2012.12.28 08:55
I'm a 52 year old UK based published author, turned screenwriter, hoping to hook up with a US screenwriter able to write comedy. Following a recent meeting in Los Angeles to discuss various projects, a producer gave me the title of a movie that his organization would like to see written. In short, it involves a US cop out of his depth in the UK whilst on an investigation. I dismissed the idea, adding I couldn't write comedy. However, intrigued by the title of the film, I wrote a pretty good synopsis - which I think with the right writing partner, could go further. INSTRUCTIONS to SUBMIT: Please feel free to email me - jacobitejames23@gmail.com - with your thoughts and ideas. I can handle the UK terminology, etc., but need help with both the comedy element, not to mention US (Deep South?) mentality. Pay is 50% split of any potential earnings.

SCRIPT WRITER FOR HISTORICAL DOCUMENTARY 2012.12.5 11:18
Hello, I’m looking for writer with experience in documentaries. This documentary has a historical subject and will be about 45 minutes. The script writing will be dynamic. We are gathering historical facts which will be mixed by interviews from experts in the field.  The story will be told from the eyes of those who experienced the historical events or their siblings. The way I see the script developing is by creating a “spine” based on the films outline.  As we add interviews and collect other materials, the script will be updated to maintain the focus of the story and link the various events (interviews, etc.)  Some of the script may be narrated by a voice-over and some by a host in the film. This will require a dynamic or organic script-writing style. It will be very helpful if you’re in Southern California. The dynamic nature of the script development will require strong interaction with rest of project team. If you are interested and have similar experience, please send me an email - alexaz2020@gmail.com - with the following: 1.) A sample of your work.  It would be great if it were for a documentary, but it is not necessary. 2.) Your fee requirements.  This is an independent production and the budget is limited. You will, of course, be credited. Thanks, Alex.

If you have a script you'd like me to look at, get in contact with me, but don't send the full script just yet. Synopsis will do for now. This is a paid gig. Looking forward to hearing from you at: script@jesper-emborg.eu All the best. Jesper Emborg

SEEKING DEDICATED SCREENWRITER FOR SCRIPT TO FILM IN 2013 2012.11.3 09:21
I'm looking for a feature length drama or comedy script that has little to no special effects and no more than 5 locations. A very basic, good script from a screenwriter who is trying to get their script made into a movie. The pay will be $400.00, plus 5% of the going rate if the film is sold. When the final script is decided we will look at getting a budget for the film, hence the reason for the $400.00 up front pay. Please send all inquires to info@ironhorsefilms.net. I'm looking to start filming in the spring of 2013.  The deadline for script submissions will be on November 30th, 2012. Depending on how many inquires we receive the chosen writer will be posted on our website by January 11th, 2013. When chosen, the writer will be asked to come to Trenton, NJ to meet one on one and to receive payment. And remember simplicity, the more basic the script, the more interesting it is to us. Please submit in pdf format. Thank you all and good luck.

SEEKING SCREENWRITING PARTNER 2012.11.2 15:46
I'm a Writer/Director and owner of a production company in search of a potential Screen Writing Partner. I've been a screen scribe going on 8 years and have always worked alone in the writing department, although I am a collaborator at heart. Currently, I am open to exploring writing partners for the following reasons and purposes: 1.) A pair of fresh eyes, Revision and Editing of each other's work 2.) Collaboration on existing and new scripts, short or feature length 3.) Development of spec scripts to sell 4.) Enhancement of each other's skill, strengths and weaknesses. I have written a few shorts and 3 feature scripts which I can provide excerpts from as a writing sample. As a director I've created short narratives, commercial specs, music videos, and business promotional videos. Right now I am polishing a 40 page script for production in the summer of 2013. The ideal candidate I'm in search of is someone educated in film and or screenwriting, has a literary background or is well read, and can provide a writing sample for review. Someone who is professional and is willing to connect, see how things go, review work, and then commit to some sort of system of meeting and collaboration. Although I have never worked with a writing partner I have had a successful business partnership with my production company for over a year now going strong. I am serious about my career as a writer/director and am seeking people who are equally as dedicated and who are ambitious skilled professionals. To Apply: Please submit a brief note about your experience as a screenwriter, strengths and weaknesses, contact info, resume optional to me at los.cinema@gmail.com Any links to works produced would be greatly appreciated as well, if you are comfortable submitting writing sample of a registered script please kindly do so. Upon your reply I will submit links to my company and personal work, along with a writing sample to those candidates who meet standards and requirements. NY/NJ Professional Locals only, students and undergrads welcome, proof is in the page. Thanks

SUPERNATURAL SCRIPT NEEDED FOR HORROR ANTHOLOGY FILM 2012.11.1 08:53
An award winning, independent NYC area filmmaking collective is looking for a supernatural haunted house/haunted object/ghost story script. Looking for something scary and atmospheric that features a haunted element, something unique that hasn't been done, at least not lately. Themes of irony and consequence will help. No PARANORMAL ACTIVITY rip offs please. The chosen script will become a segments in a 4 part horror anthology feature film. Think of the classic horror anthologies of the 80s - Creep Show, The Twilight Zone, Tales From the Crypt, etc. We are a small team of passionate and motivated filmmakers. We have a track record of getting projects done, done well, and on the very cheap. We own all of our own equipment and make it a point not to waste anyone's time. This is a non paying gig, as the majority of cast and crew will be contributing their time and talent with the reward of being part of an amazing feature film experience, however a backend deal will be arranged if and when distribution happens. If your script is chosen we will do our very best to produce it, and include it in the final film. Requirements are as follows: 20-30 pages(ish); A strong element of haunting and/or ghosts; Limited characters and settings; Limited effects; Scare the hell out of us! We won't read any completed scripts, so please send us a 1-3 paragraph synopsis to start. No attachments please, copy and paste the synopsis into the body of the email. Send to: gregmbartlett@yahoo.com Thank you so much for reading, and we look forward to hearing from you!
